Swedish Zoroastrian Society is going to celebrate Tirgan Jashan (Jashn-e Tirgan) for three days form Aug. 2nd (15:00) to 5th (14:00) in Göteborg, Sweden.
The event will consist of the 10th Summer Camp and the 3rd Traditional Persian Games ( Arash-Kamangir’s Cup).
The competition consists of Archery, Backgammon, ‘Yeghol-doughol’, ‘Alak-doulak’, Religious questions&answers, and many more for both children and adults.
In response to our question of “why three days?”, the organizers responded “our goal is to make Tirgan Jashn an educational and memorable event for our youth. Indeed, whilst they are having fun, finding new friends, and sharing their thoughts with the older generation, they learn more about our traditions and culture; and since they have a good time, they will
not forget it, forever. ”
More than 100 people from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Iran, Sweden, UK, and USA
participated in last year event.
