Director of Iran’s National Museum has announced that the Louver museum in Paris will hold exhibitions on Iran’s Achaemenian and Saffavi Dynasties.
“Based on an agreement between Iran and France, two exhibitions about Iranian Saffavi and Achaemenian dynasties will be held in Louver,” announced Mohammad Reza Kargar.
“Saffavi Culture, Art and Civilization”, will be opened in September 2007, and “Achaemenian Dynasty” will be held in two years time, he added.
Based on the agreement, the two countries will co-operate in facilitating restoration programs, expanding research, holding training classes, organizing short-term educational sessions for Iranian experts, and collaborating with Louver faculty, National Heritage Organization, and National organization of History and Art.
France also agreed to provide scholarships to Iranians in the related fields of study, Farsnews agency reported.
Holding other exhibitions in 2008 is an example of the mutual co-operations between Iran and France.
